By September 30, 2011Communications

I don’t often address LinkedIn here on WTF? Friday, but some work today in the business network platform sent me to a profile that stopped me COLD.WTF?

Check this out:

Now, I’ve edited to protect the innocent idiot, but seriously, WTF? Did this woman employ her cat to complete her LinkedIn profile? Spelling, people. It’s not that hard. Note to Congressman ____________, check your employees’ LinkedIn profiles. Fire accordingly.

Just curious, if I were to click the “Education” link, would I be presented with: None?

@johnheaney I kept it in on purpose; this person claims to be a college graduate — from George Mason, no less! If I were GMU, I’d be asking for my diploma back.

  • I don’t know if this is real or not but this looks really scary to see from any person on LinkedIn college graduate or not.

@Justicewordlaw It’s completely and totally real; discovered as I was working with a client last week. This person is one of her recommended contacts. It’s amazing how little some people care about how they appear online.

  • @Marijean Yeah, that just blows me away. Some people don’t care or they just do it because everyone else is on LinkedIn. Someone really needs to send her an email to assist her in a non-a**hole way.

  • Marijean says:

@Justicewordlaw Yes, my client was going to do that. I’m hoping she’ll pay attention and fix it.

  • @Marijean You can only wait and see.

I have seen some really bad examples and that another one to add to the list of examples.

There is one guy I follow who despite me having pointed out some of his howlers, continues in his own sweet way. Today we had “Good Morning all well the day has come where the iPhobe 5 will be out and about…… who is looking forward to it…..”

  • Marijean says:

@SteveY Ah, the iPhobe, a device to help one manage their fears.
